The league is so excited for 2026!

We had a wonderful time at our provisional coffee on Saturday! We gathered in fellowship with amazing women. We talked about our plans to serve the community of Americus.

Thank you to Leslie Larkin for organizing the coffee. Thank you to Patty Perles for hosting. Thank you to Honorary members Michelle Andrews, Michelle Parker, Dee Hardin and Beth NeSmith for all of your help!

The league is so excited for 2026!

We had a wonderful time at our provisional coffee on Saturday! We gathered in fellowship with amazing women. We talked about our plans to serve the community of Americus.

JSL members participated in Phoebe Sumter’s heart walk!

Dr. Jordan Simmons, MD, cardiologist, gave us tips to reduce heart risk. She advised to know your numbers! Know your blood pressure, A1C and cholesterol numbers. The recommendation for blood pressure is under 130/80 and A1C below 7. Also, move your body to lower cardiovascular disease!

Phoebe Sumter purchased and donated four new AEDs to the Cole Varnum Agency. The agency has placed 30 AED’s locally which has saved 2 lives from sudden cardiac arrest in our community.

🐶Oh and we loved hanging out with our fur friend Goose! 🐶

With the help of the ADA’s Give Kids A Smile Program, Dr. Alex Riccardi-Turner, Drs. Beall and Beall and Dr. Jessica Brown were able to provide screenings for 277 kids in grades 5K and 3rd grade. JSL was also able to provide 612 dental health bags containing a toothbrush, toothpaste, flossers, dental literature and goodies for all kids in these grades. We were excited to be back in all the schools this year and thank the administrators so much for allowing us to serve our community!

The Night to Shine/Methodist Youth Home committee has started the new year off by helping get things ready for the big event in 2 weeks! We can’t wait to see our NTS friends walk the red carpet soon!

We’re grateful to partner with Central Baptist Church to help provide weekend food packs for children in our community who may not have reliable access to meals outside of school. Together, we’re working to ensure kids are supported, nourished, and cared for—because no child should go hungry.
