2025 Out of our league
As we begin 2026, we want to pause and reflect on all of our accomplishments in the past year. 2025 was one of growth and discovery. We worked together to engage the mission and create meaningful change in the Sumter County community. Please enjoy some of the highlights from our 88th year.
Service Opportunities
Keeping in line with our mantra "volunteers with a vision," we set our sights on the most important aspect of being in JSL: service. Our service committees allow us to consistently show up and serve Sumter County each month. Partnering with our eight service organizations, we were able to demonstrate the power of service. The ladies of JSL offered hands-on support, provided resources, and monetary donations. In 2025, our members logged over 3,000 hours of service; showcasing our dedication and passion for the opportunity to serve.
Fundraising
Fundraising has always been an essential part of the League's ability to make an impact. We started our 2025 year by hosting our 2nd Annual Casino Night. It was an evening of games, prizes and fun! Next we ushered in our two Fall fundraisers, Cowpoke Carnival and Santa's Book Club. We were excited to see a wonderful turnout for both events! We had many smiling faces join us to enjoy the activities, food, and festive spirit each event offers!
We are already looking forward to our two fundraisers we have planned for 2026! We will kick off the year by continuing our wonderful Casino Night! We can't wait to see an even bigger turn out from our community. To meet evolving needs while honoring tradition, we will be combining two League favorites! Cowpoke Carnival and Santa's Book Club will be combined into one festive event, Cowpoke Christmas. A fresh holiday twist on the long-running Cowpoke Carnival.
All funds raised are recommitted back to Sumter County. Together, we have strengthened our support for our community. Thank you for continuing to support our fundraising efforts.
